This is going to be THE version to have. This is the result of some painstaking restoration of the original film material. The film was scanned at 4k and then was able to be restored digitally. This restoration was approved by both Coppola and the cinematographer. This is as close to the original theatrical release than its ever going to be, I guess until we go past 1080p?

I dont buy many DVD's, let alone blu-ray, but this is a must have. I'll put it with my huge blu-ray collection of Spiderman 3 and the Simpsons.

I bought it. I'll be going over my Uncles house to watch it on his 720p projector this weekend.
