I saw the trailer for it , and besides the fact that they got Kevin;s favorite actor , Mark Wahlberg playing Payne, the trailer showed some funky ass constantine like shit . Demons and shit . That was totally whack .

I'm still kinda jaded over the wahlberg thing . They coulda taken any one of these guys who are so perfectly suited to do a Payne role, like Oliphaunt(Hitman) or even Keanu Reeves(His constantine role was total Payne) .

I totally have the same feeling . That this has nothing to do with max payne , it's gonna be a shitty action movie using too much slow-mo and not do it right and gonna suck , and NO one is gonna take the creative aspects of games seriously again .

it looks kind of iffy to me, and I have a problem with some of the casting (according to the IMDB page):

Mila Kunis being cast as Mona Sax...
Mona Sax is one tough sexy broad, and Mila Kunis is neither sexy or tough. She's way to soft to play Mona Sax.

Ludacris being cast as Jim Bravura?!?!?
Lt. Bravura is an old white guy... so they cast Ludacris? Doesn't make much sense to me.

I guess there is a lot of parallels between the Punisher and Max Payne, Payne's family was killed and he just goes crazy into drugs and gets on a path where he "just don't give a fuck". He just kills everything without remorse.

Well I guess that was a little blunt, But all I remember from the first game is... Renegade cop killing stuff, being in a strange drug coma or dream stage that were really annoying... the second game was way better story wise.

Either way, I could like this movie, but I hate the casting.

I remember loving the story of this game.  Especially the fucked up parts where you tripped out and relived the death of your little girl.  The story was kind of rubbish but for a video game, it was amazing.  This movie is gonna be total bullshit that has nothing to do with its original source material.  I will defiantly rent this though.  I know I'm gonna laugh when I envision Max Payne and then hear Marky Mark's labia-soft voice.
