I hate it when people use math to fool the masses. If more people register to vote and then go vote, the percentages stay the same. Say in 2004 that 500,000 people voted out of 1,000,000 registered voters. Thats a 50% turn out. Now in 2008 950,000 people go vote out of a possible 2,000,000. Guess what, thats 47.5% turnout. Even though 450,000 new people voted, your voter turnout percentage went down. Percentages don't mean shit. Statistics will give you 100% of what you are looking for 50% of the time. At least i think thats the way the saying goes.
