Obama did that so she's out of his hair as a Senator.  She'd be a thorn in his side, and the Clintons do hold sway over the party.  Combined, the party becomes even stronger.  And this way it keeps Bill Clinton out of the White House which would cause problems with a vice presidency.  It's a smart move from Obama.

Really, from where I'm sitting, I'm happy about it.  Taking Hillary out of the legislative box gives us video gamers a break.  She can't create any new bills now, and she'll spend most of her time overseas.  Hooray.

But yea, I hear you guys, they have the Clinton guy in as Cheif of Staff and Clinton herself in as Secretary of State.  That's not really shaking things up.  But he might be vying for confidence.  Picking solid choices to relax the media and observers before he starts choosing the weird ones.

It could also help Hillary run for the Presidency when she's 69 if she wants to do that.  But she'd have to be Secretary of State for the full 8 years.  That's a long time for that job.  Really work those frequent flier miles.

I do agree with you on Hillary as SoS. It's a smart/tactical pick.

As for those saying "lol, I don't see CHANGE", do you want him to pick people that never had a job before? Most Democrats in Washington had some kind of ties to Bill Clinton since he was a 2 term Democratic president. Kinda hard not to. Seriously, use your brain sometimes, unless you're trying to be cute. If so, great job.
