i'm being serious here: why not vote for a 3rd candidate?
also, i'm wondering if this "National Service" is military only? will they allow other forms of service? (forestry, fire brigades, medical, educational, ect)
If they allow other forms of non-military service then I support it actually. 50 hours isn't too long, you can get that done in a week. I personally think Canada should introduce it, unpaid aside from expenses for all students after graduation.
Maybe its because I'm becoming slightly nationalistic.

If all other candidates don't peek my interest, I would vote for Ralph Nader.
P.S. the whole thing where everyone hates him is bullshit, Basically the democrats had spoiled grapes over when they lost to bush one year. They decided to name the reason why they lost, was because Nader stole their votes and wanted Bush to win. Thats bullshit, he was not fighting to hand over votes to Bush, he was fighting for votes himself. It saddens me that in this country that is supposed to be democratic; that when we get a couple extra parties we can choose to be put into office, people try to sack the reason why they lost onto that candidate in a attempt to make them not run again or to steal votes from them in the future. pfft...
back on topic, I wouldnt mind doing some charity work... as long as I get to pick where I work

What would you rather do -
Go abroad for a year or two and get a broader perspective on the world and help people who really need it, or be crippled with a fuckload of student debt that you spend 10-15 years paying off?
It doesn't seem like he's asking that much.
