The Myspace page has a streaming preview of each song - which is great.

The album is ......okay. I was never a big fan to begin with. Lots of generic type GNR ballads.
I don't own any GNR albums and would likely not have bought it anyway, but at least I didn't have to download it to preview it.

I listened to most of the new songs on the Album... and I didn't like it at all!
One of the songs I actually laughed at... you aren't supposed to laugh at music if it isn't a comedy music album!
Definitely not GnR... he should have just let this one go...

I agree with Lard, it's an okay album, nothing special really. They should have not called it a Guns N' Roses album as it is really an Axl Rose solo project.

The problem with the album is that it's taken so long to come out it either has to be great or it's going to suck. There is no middle ground here.
Die Zeit ist jetzt. Der Platz ist hier.

This album was supposed to drop when I was 16 years old. Now at 28 I could give a rats ass. The only band from the "death of hair-rock/birth of grunge" period that I still listen to is Tool. Every now and then I will put on some Pearl Jam and reminisce about skateboarding but GnR is not a band I feel I need to go back to.
"What do you want for Christmas?"
"Fraggle Stick Car."
"What the fuck is a Fraggle Stick Car? Next!"

I don't really like GnR's but, because the album came out this year, for some reason Dr. Pepper is giving a free bottle to everyone who wants one. All you've got to do is go to their website on Sunday and print a coupon.

I am going to download this, but I wouldn't pay for it. I was a huge Gn'R fan back in the day until I saw them in concert. 1992 they came to Edmonton on a "stripped down" tour. No fuckin kidding. They came out, no opener. Played welcome to the jungle then brought out some couches and proceeded to play accoustic songs the whole show!. I paid $150 from a scalper to watch them sit on a couch and drink whisky, playing all acoustic songs. It wasn't the lies tour, it was illusion. It was shit. So basically Axl got every penny he will ever get from me for life that night.
Edit: I am getting my fuckin Dr Pepper, stupid global corporation.
