Do You Want Wi-Fi With That? Zune Users Get Free Net Access at McDonalds

Zune owners are getting free Wi-Fi access at McDonalds, as well as the 3.0 software today. It's using the Wayport Wi-Fi system at about 10,000 stores, and as a Wayport spokesman puts it, it lets them "attract new customers whose digital lifestyle extends beyond their home and office." Yep, out of the home and office...and into the burger joint. Great if you've got a Zune, and were jealous of the Starbucks/Apple Wi-Fi tie-up (which, and it may be just me, is a far "classier" deal, no?)

I didn't write that, obviously. It was from Engadget or something. Personally, the only reason to use it at Starbucks would be because you're waiting in line. Does anyone actually go in and sit down? I know there are people that do, but I mean, does any REAL person go in and sit down? I know I don't. And I use the drive-through at McDonalds. Not much sitting in there either.

I always sit down in Starbucks. I'd look like a huge tool sitting in my car in the Starbucks parking lot over lunch break. On the other hand, even though I have the iTouch I still can't figure out how to get on that Starbucks music thing they supposedly have going.
