heh, to be hononest, I was thinking about your post long ago about buckhead that led me to check out what was available on iTunes/Amazon. Good stuff indeed. If you have any other album of his you like, or similar artists, let me know. I've been desireing great guitar rock (singers are optional)

I have nearly all of Buckethead's albums and their are a ton that I love. Population Override, Giant Robot, Colma and The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock are all top notch albums. Population Override is really jazzy, melodic and awesome, Giant Robot is one of his first albums and it has some of his signature tunes and is also really funny, Colma is an acoustic album that is one of his all around best and The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock is very heavy and chock full of amazing riffs.
As far as other guitar oriented rock goes I would recommend my favorite band Dream Theater as their guitarist is one of the greatest ever. Their albums Images and Words, Scenes from a Memory, Awake and Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence are my favorites. John Petrucci (DT's guitarist) has a solo album called Suspended Animation that is quite awesome as well.
Also Paul Gilbert, any of his solo stuff is great, especially Get Out of My Yard. He also has a band called Racer X that is great (check out Street Lethal and Second Heat).
Eric Johnson is another great guitar player. His album La Via Musicom is one of my personal favorites.
Joe Satriani and Yngwie Malmsteen are cool too. I would recommend Satriani's Surfing With the Alien and Malmsteen's Rising Force.
Finally, I would recommend John 5's (Marilyn Manson's old guitarist) newest CD The Devil Knows My Name. I was surprised by how good it is.
