Dante can die right? You could hit him enough times and he'd be dead? You can't kill Pyramid Head. Plus it has no face. Dante could hack at Pyramid Head all day and then he'd start crying and talk about the time his cat was let down by his drinking issues. At which point a little girl would take his hand and run him through a blood stained walled hospital. Soon his pocket radio would start squeeling and the girl would be gone. That's when Pyramid would rise up and slay him.
Seriously, it don't matter how bad ass you are. Pyramid Head is essentially unstoppable since he kills you from the inside.
Although, in the court of popular vote, he is less attractive to gay men than Dante.

I forgot that Pyramid head was not able to die. Still though, I think Dante wins this battle. He eats hordes of demons for breakfast. A big slow dude with a sword is not going to be a problem.

But you see, Pyramid Head is your fears manifest. Like if you were Dante, you might be feeling guilty about something in your past. Those fears become real things, and the deepest darkest of them all is Pyramid Head. If you try and confront it, it will kill you. But Pyramid head will go away if you surrender to your fears. If you accept them. Unfortunately that usually revolves around another person accepting your apology. Can't say Dante would have that, so he'd be dead.
Oh, and while Pyramid Head is slow and lumbering, he does have shoddy camera angles and slow controls working for him.
L-block might have a chance against him though. I doubt L-block has any fears or history that would enable Pyramid Head to appear.

Dante is 100 times more badass than Pyramid Head and that is why he should win. Sure he can die, but it's extremely difficult to kill him (he can get completely impaled multiple times without even being phased). I'm pretty sure he would come up with a way to kill Pyramid Head.
