found out on wii tracker that walmart is selling them bundle free

they have 'em right now if you want one

I needed something to play while the xbox is broken

If you don't have a GameCube controller, you might want to pick one up on Ebay or something.  Or you could buy the classic game controller.  Either way, you'll want that if you plan to play any of the older titles.  The WiiMote doesn't work with everything.

Buy these controllers from amazon

They're extremely cheap and generally you'll get one that is acceptable quality. Even if it dies in 6 months you still got a good deal. They have some other colors on there for $3.50 but I think shipping is higher.

I'd get the wavebird if I was going to
I had two of them when I had a GC, they are great

I'll see if there is anything I might need it for but I doubt it
I rarely find pleasure in playing old games
the GC wont even fit my TVs aspect ratio

now I just need to find an iPhone and I'll have everything I want

  Ok man, don't say we didn't warn you.  You'll want one.  It's not just for ancient stuff.  New stuff too.  You either buy the Classic Controller deal or you buy a GameCube controller.  There is some stuff that may work with the Wiimote and the Numchuck, but you'll be wishing you had the GameCube controller instead. 

  Also, it's a good idea to score an SD Memory card.  No more than 2 gig.  And it networks wireless only.  Some things there to keep in mind.

And GameCube did Widescreen btw.  It was just SD.

SD cards aren't really a good idea actually. You can't play games off of the SD cards and it takes longer to transfer a game from the wii-SD card than it takes to delete and re download the game.

yeah nintendo messed up big time with that.

I'd rather transfer than watch Mario run and bounce his head on that damn thing waiting for the download to finish.

But I hear ya.  I tend not to trust that Nintendo will keep those titles there forever, so I like to make the backup.  I'm just paranoid I guess.

I'm not buying any of that old crap

but if I did I think I have a few sd cards lying around
they are like 5 bucks these days

I just really wanna play pii pii brothers

They don't just sell old games on there. They also have that wiiware thing which is supposed to be like XBLA.

No More Heroes and Okami (if you haven't already played it on the PS2) are good games.  Obviously, also RE4 if you didn't have it for your gamecube.

Rent Super Smash Bros. Brawl first. If you have a small TV don't even bother renting it.

I'd still rent it. As a fighting game you need more luck than skill and that pretty much ruins the game for me. I only said if you have a small tv don't bother because the camera sometimes moves so far away you can't see anything making the game useless. I played it on a friends 32 inch screen and when the camera pulled far back forget it. It should be okay on a 42 inch though.
