These forums have stalled lately. I used to come home from work and there would be some new threads and/or comments on old threads. Now I come home from work and there may be one new comment somewhere or maybe one new thread. So, I'm just wondering who is still here.

Well... Basically the website and show are dying. To be perfectly honest that's what's happening. There is little I can do about it. I'm trying to broaden its reach by getting on Shoutcast and live365 again, and eventually doing cross promotion with the other podcasts.
Ultimately, we need content. People go to websites to read new content. We don't have any content here. This is just a way-station for MediSpective happenings and not much else. Attempts at providing news and reviews are impossible for me because my schedule doesn't fit it in. I can't even find time to play games, let alone write about them. So the site is decaying. I'm doing what I can to make it more approachable by changing the theme (Not done yet, obviously) and doing cross promotion, but the site needs content.
I think I'll make a post about it.

Have the subscribers for the show really gone down? Maybe its just school starting up again...

Our subscriber base is still above 1,000 listeners per episode. But most people don't come to the website, or if they do, they don't feel compelled to create an account. We get about 1 new user signing up per week, and most of them never return. They probably look at getting into the contest, realize it's $10 for the year, and quit and never return.
Rarely does anyone stick around. But beyond that, 1 new user a week is pathetic. There's just no compelling reason to create an account here and login, let alone participate in the forums. Hopefully if enough people want to participate in the news and reviews sections of the site, we can offer up interesting content to get people to come here and join in the conversation.
Otherwise, I really don't know what else to do except watch the website decay. But I'll continue to do my best to broaden its reach and appeal. We'll see what happens.

I still come here every once in a while, just to see what's going on in the gaming and general section of the forums. I'll only post when i'm interested in the topic, but I mostly just lurk.
Also I haven't really had time to listen to the show lately.
Edit: I also still can't believe I have this username from about 5 years ago on this site...

I check the site probably twice daily, just out of habit. Never really have to much to say, usually if i get a new game i'll leave a review. Maybe if i find some crazy shit i'll leave a link. But usually i just come to see what's up with everyone and read posts. In all actuality, this is the only forums that i am a part of. later

School is starting, heading into fall - getting ready for Halloween/Thanksgiving/Xmas
People just seem to have less time around this time of year - it's almost October already.
I'm busy as hell nowadays with textbook readings. :(

It'll pick back up again. It's a slow time for gaming as it is.

i've been here, mostly just browsing and reading what people write and post and whatnot... sometimes commenting...
but if you want, ill try my best to bring some content. If i see anything interesting ill post it here in the forums. as well as ill try my hand at writting reviews. I try it first before i decide to do it full time for yall. if i still dont like writting ill probably just write a review every bluemoon. ill also dirrectly post any video reviews/unboxings i do too, I do those every bluemoon too.

I usually check the forums about once a day (depending on how busy my day has been.) But in all honesty, I usually have nothing to say. And if there is something to say, it has usually been said once or twice already; or the original conversation has changed to a conversation about a similar idea that I have nothing to add to

i've got a question about the site's content then is it RSS enabled? not the podcast itself, but just the news on the front page

It could be. Meaning, I could make that happen. But considering all that news tends to point to locations on other websites I'm not sure how making it RSS enabled will bring users here. They'll just click the link and be taken to another website. Unless we have a review here. But if it's not RSS enabled, then people have to physically come to this website to read it.
I can RSS enable it though, fairly easily actually. If people want that.

I don't really go to the Forums anymore, but I'm still pining for the newest episode of the show each week, it seems to only get better.

I am mostly in lurk mode as well. I guess we are in the middle of this gaming generation, and there really isn't any news of anything on the horizon except games. When info about the Ps3, xbox730, wii2 start leaking out then I think the usual fanboyism will come out and the great fights and discussions will happen again. There would be pages and pages for each thread about if the Wii was going to be successful or if the 360 would stand up to the PS3. Its a bit of a stale time period in gaming. And with Wiii upping the ante on casual gamer inclusion and the PS3 and 360 opening up digital distrobution, this next generation of systems might be interesting.

Hey Kev, Larry, whoever the heck is around,
Just wanted to let ya's know I've been listening to the show since way way back when it was like the only video game podcast on the iTunes directory. In fact its the first podcast I ever subscribed to, and I'll be listening for as long as you guys do it.
I used to read the forums on occasions, but I've never been much of a forum poster guy. I love the show and I emailed in a couple times before the power user days, but I was a student then and never really got around to signing up to be a power user - most of the time I wouldn't be able to listen to the show until a few weeks after it aired anyways, meaning I would miss the contest regardless.
Anyhow, I'll try to check in here more frequently. Maybe its time I get that power user upgrade...

I think it would be counter-productive to enable rss. as an avid Rss user i agree with Kevin. i think if anything we need the vise versa. Ive tried to post Articles that i found through random rss feeds, just to maybe stir up something. We need insults. More insults. A good forum always is full of opinionated idiots. something to build the "community". mac vs pc arguments. Sony vs Microsoft. Zune vs Ipod, Satin worshiping psycos vs Jedi. we need to come together in our hatred.
its not like kevin edits this forum for cleanliness. prety much anything goes. cmon tell me how much you disagree! tell me how much you hate.

Nope, not I.
I know where he is though. Got him locked up in my basement. There's only enough room for one Dan 'round here, and I'm the real one.

Noooooo! Dandman!!! I had a gif of one smiley whipping another one hanging in a dungeon but couldn't post it. I think you know where I was going with this.
