One Man, 30,000 Video Games Perfect intro for a trip to Kevin's as well. When you get to tour the place, you'll get some ideas of what Brian and I had to move into Kevin's garage.

Yea, there are lots of guys like this that own Ye' Olden Gaming Store and have large collections.  Hopefully they keep that stuff in good shape and it doesn't burn to the ground for a tax write-off.   Every guy like this has a unique system somewhere like an Odyssey 3, or Atari 2800 that they'll never part with.

I'll take Adventurevision for $2000 Alex.

Shoot I'd like to see kevs collection up close and personal. I'd also like to play that apple pipin at least once too.
I have a collection too, but it is no where near as impressive as kevins....

EDIT: OMG that other guys collection is insane!

I'd pay a dollar, that's for sure!

Outside of the consoles, I don't collect other things.  I don't have many games at all.  (I give them to you guys).  I don't collect many figures or things.  I sort of settled on the idea of collecting 1 thing, and that thing would be consoles.  I do have the occasional add-on device or controller, but not many.

Each console on average is 1x1 foot.   Some are larger, some are smaller.  So on average it's a square foot.  So 160 consoles spread out would require 160 feet of space.

As for a real museum.  I think it'd be better if they were behind plexiglass and mounted to the walls of a big arcade/bar/entertainment complex.  So that people could view them in passing, but there would be other reasons for coming in.  They'd also have to be mounted fairly high so they wouldn't get stolen.  I'm sure more than a few dudes would want to steal a working Vectrex.

If there was a way to make money on owning this, I'd of done it.  Haha

Kevin, what's the rarest system you have? Do you have any prototypes or anything? It would be awesome if you could get your hands on a Sega Neptune or something like that.

Oh, probably one of the pongs, but I have no system that is unique.  My JVC X'Eye is extremely rare and worth some bucks.  I'm not quite financially able to spend money on serious systems, but maybe in a few years, I could start dropping the kind of money necessary to round out my collection.  But I'll never get an RDI Halcyon or a Neptune.  Someone would have to part with it.

I seriously believe that Christie's will auction rare video game stuff in the not-too-distant future.
