Man I used to love my colecovision.  We had the same thing you do plus another controller called a roller controller.  It was like a poolball sized track ball.  I remember playing slither with it.  Mouse trap was probably my favorite game though.  We also had this game called WarGames that made no freaking sense.  Still to this day I have no clue what the hell was going on, all I remember is you played as a little Russian Hammer and Sickle symbol.

Many many hours were spent on the Colecovision playing Ladybug and Donkey Kong.  The most fun I've had with phone-looking-controller.

Colecovision was my first console. I saved up my allowance & paper route money, and my mum took me to a K-Mart or something and I bought it. Eventually, I also got the trackball accessory and Atari emulator expansion.

Had tons of fun with Ladybug, Burgertime, Pepper II, Donkey Kong, etc., but my absoloute favourite was Gateway to Apshai. I spent hours and days wandering those dungeons. They were the first action-RPG, dungeon crawl games I ever played, and I just loved em.

Yes, there was Gateway and Temple Trilogy, and they were available on different platforms of the era: Colecovision, C64, Atari 400, I think. I only played Gateway (CV) at the time, but tried Temple (C64) on an emulator in the 90s.
