Coleco Head to Head Video Game System

Bought new from Walmart. Pretty sure these aren't original Colecovision games, so it's using the name Coleco only as a selling point.

I guess Coleco was never really known for its exclusives (though it seemed to have the best looking versions of games at the time).   'Car Racing' looks rad though.

Re: Coleco Head to Head Video Game System

Yea, Colecovision was superior to the Atari 2600.  It had a full version of Donkey Kong that it came with which was a huge hit.  Unfortunately for Coleco, the system came out just before the video game crash and it couldn't survive, but there were some great games for it.  It did a much better job of playing arcade titles that were more true to how they were.  The controllers were pretty shitty though.  It was a high end system and was probably the most powerful of its time.  With the exception of "maybe" the Atari 5200, but the 5200 had terrible joysticks which ruined any hope they had of selling more than 10 of them.

Dammit, I was gonna make a joke about overloading in my pants. Too late.

bigdog21 At:11:10 PM

I was kidding; I don't even know what overloaded means. I just overloaded my pantaloons though, I think.

NutMan At:10:29 PM

some of the older shows are in 24k. Later on with the wasteland warriors you had 120k or something but I dunno if you put those on the dvds.

Sheep At:9:20 PM

I'm feeling pretty overloaded myself. :P

Ok, I didn't reprocess the audio on the DVD discs, so I dunno what you're talking about. Yea olden audio was crappy, that much is for sure.

bigdog21 At:6:58 PM

The sound quality on the DVDs seem a little overloaded.

Jedihillis At:6:41 PM

I just got my VGN DVD. Thanks!

I will write my insurgency/zombie panic review later this week..

It wasn't overloading the connection, the volume was too high for the encoder so it encoded shitty. Turn down the volume so it's not in the red, and then it works fine. You can't overload a digital connection, that doesn't make any sense.
