I remember when I got this for Christmas the year it came out, I was the coolest kid in school, then my teacher took it away cause I was playing it in class. Anyway I remember the battery life was garbage. Yours is in such great shape. Still work?
my friend has one of these that is busted up and has abnormaly loud sound. I mean turn it on crank it up and go down stairs and still hear it clearly loud. I bought one thinking it was normal for that system, and to my surprise mine (in almost mint condition) could not go as loud. Oh well...
I bought one of these which is in awesome condition, it came with a game genie!!!
I haven't tested it in a long time, but it should still work. These things were like tanks. Unless you dropped it a lot or smashed it.
I believe it was CNET that named the gameboy the most durable consumer electronics product ever. There is one that survived a mortar attack in the first gulf war. It still works and is on display in some museum.
It said bullet proof software somwhere on the screen when you turn it on right?
I belive i saw a picture of it. if the one in the picture i saw was the one you are refering to, its actully not in a museum, but the nintendo world store in NYC.
here are pics, it still works to this day!

Dammit, I was gonna make a joke about overloading in my pants. Too late.
bigdog21 At:11:10 PM
I was kidding; I don't even know what overloaded means. I just overloaded my pantaloons though, I think.

some of the older shows are in 24k. Later on with the wasteland warriors you had 120k or something but I dunno if you put those on the dvds.

I'm feeling pretty overloaded myself. :P

Ok, I didn't reprocess the audio on the DVD discs, so I dunno what you're talking about. Yea olden audio was crappy, that much is for sure.
bigdog21 At:6:58 PM
The sound quality on the DVDs seem a little overloaded.

It wasn't overloading the connection, the volume was too high for the encoder so it encoded shitty. Turn down the volume so it's not in the red, and then it works fine. You can't overload a digital connection, that doesn't make any sense.
