Midway Fatality?
Midway Games' financial troubles leads them to lay off employees.
Embattled publisher Midway Games has confirmed to Edge that it has laid off a "small number" of employees from its Chicago headquarters on Wednesday.
A rep for the company said the cuts come after the shipment of the "two major frontline games," Blitz: The League II and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.
"As large projects are completed, it is expected for any multi-team studio to evaluate the appropriate staffing levels and team composition needed going forward," the rep stated.
